They’re Having a Baby!

Emma has always been Autumn and Chris’ “baby”, so it only seemed fitting that she helped them announce the news that they are expecting their first child! It was so fun to be in on the surprise, but boy was it hard to keep such an exciting secret. I’m glad the cat’s out of the bag now. Congratulations, guys. I can’t wait to meet the newest addition to the Snapper family in January!

In celebration of Father’s Day, I wanted to share a few of my favorite father and child images I’ve taken this year. Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads in the world!

Family Snow Session

Posted in Children, Engagement, Family, Portrait

I have been itching to shoot a session in the snow for quite a while now. When Cassandra contacted me about a family session over the holidays I was excited to get a chance to pitch my idea… and absolutely thrilled when I mentioned “snow session” and she said that was EXACTLY what she had in mind. Yay!  Since we didn’t get any snow in the lowlands this winter, we took a little day trip and headed up to Snoqualmie Pass. Here are some images from our  fun snow day. I had the best time frolicking in the snow with this sweet little family!

Winnie and Hank {10 Days New}

Posted in Baby, Family, Newborns

It was such a thrill for me to photograph Erin and Mark’s 10-day old twins. Especially since I know just how wanted they were and how loved they are. These sweet babies will never lack for anything, as evidenced by how many people popped in during their session to offer to help out , and  by how full Erin’s kitchen was of snacks and meals brought over by a supportive community of family, friends, and neighbors.  Welcome to the world, Winnie and Hank. I look forward to watching you grow!

Dawnetta and Jeff’s Anniversary in Seattle

Posted in Family, Portrait

Dawnetta and Jeff traveled all the way from Illinois to Seattle to celebrate their 10 year wedding anniversary. Dawnetta has always loved the Pacific Northwest and thought it would be the perfect spot to spend their anniversary getaway.  This trip was also another celebration of sorts; Together Dawnetta and Jeff have lost a combined 110 lbs! Isn’t that amazing? It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to make that happen and I couldn’t be more proud of them! You guys look fantastic. Congratulations on all of your success. Wishing you both the best and hope your Seattle adventure was all you dreamed it would be!

I love that Dawnetta and Jeff brought their children's favorite stuffed animals so the kids could be included in the session even though they were far away back home in Illinois. Such a sweet idea!
