Fall is in the air.The mornings are getting crisper. The leaves are slowly starting to turn from green to gold. I’m getting excited for sweaters & boots, pumpkin patches, & chai tea lattes. I love this time of year! And I love fall photos and capturing the gorgeous scenery we have here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. This is my favorite photo from last October. Can’t believe I haven’t shared it on my blog before. Just looking at it gets me inspired for this years sessions. Bring on the falling leaves. Fall portrait season is finally here!

When couples contact me about maternity sessions, a lot of them are nervous. I always hear from them, “We’re not very photogenic”, or, “Neither of us are comfortable in front of the camera, but we really want photos of this special time in our lives”. Then a funny thing happens. I meet them in person for their photos and we chat and joke and have fun and they begin to relax -and by the end- everyone is telling me how much they enjoyed their session.
I love being able to put couples at ease and capture beautiful images for them. And that’s exactly what happened with Lily and Mark. We captured so many great images from their session at Golden Gardens Park (and I think they even had a little fun during the process.) I’m so excited for them to welcome their baby girl in May!

Michael contacted me wanting contemporary business portraits with an urban vibe. We chose downtown Bellevue as our location and captured images of him around the city with a variety of modern backdrops. I really love all the colors and textures we were able to incorporate into his session, and I can’t wait to see how his new portraits help his business grow!

I had the privilege of photographing some of the leaders from Jonckers Translation & Engineering on-location during their annual meeting this fall at the Bellevue Club. Jonckers is a full service localization provider with headquarters in Redmond, Washington; Brussels, Belgium; and Tokyo Japan. Their services include internationalization, localization, product testing, multilingual publishing and technical translation.
